REMOVAL

1. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly

2. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the connector from the fuel suction plate.

(b) Using a screwdriver, remove the cap from the connector.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(c) Detach the 2 claws and remove the cover from the

connector.

(e) Detach the 2 claws and disconnect the wire harness.

1. INSPECT FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

(a) Check that the float moves smoothly between F and E.

(b) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table

below.

Float level is F

(upper)

111 to 119 Ω

Float level is E

(lower)

506 to 514 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel sender gauge

assembly.
