INSTALLATION

1. INSTALL FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY

(a) Slide the fuel sender gauge onto the fuel suction support to

install it.

(b) Attach the 2 claws to connect the wire harness.

(c) Insert the 2 wire terminals into the connector.

NOTICE:

When inserting the wire terminals into the connector, be sure
to insert the positive (+) terminal and negative (-) terminal
into the correct locations.
Be careful not to deform the terminals.

(e) Connect the connector to the fuel suction plate.

2. INSTALL FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP AND GAUGE TUBE ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the fuel suction with pump and gauge tube assembly

PRECAUTION

CAUTION:

Before working on the fuel system, disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Do not smoke or be near an open flame when working on the fuel system.
Keep gasoline away from rubber and leather parts.

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from

the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery

terminal notice before proceeding with work

1. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

CAUTION:

(b) Disconnect the 2 fuel pump ECU connectors.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

(d) Start the engine. After the engine has stopped on its own, turn the ignition switch off.

HINT:

DTC P0171/0174 (system too lean) may be stored.

(e) Crank the engine again, and check that the engine does not start.

(f) Loosen the fuel tank cap, and then discharge the pressure in the fuel tank completely.

(g) Connect the 2 fuel pump ECU connectors.

2. FUEL SYSTEM

(1) Perform the "DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE" procedures above.

(4) Disconnect the connection.

(5) Plug the connection with a rubber plug.

(b) Observe these precautions when removing and installing the

injectors:

Never reuse the O-ring.

When installing a new O-ring to the injector, do not

damage it.

Coat a new O-ring with spindle oil or gasoline

before installing it. Do not use engine oil, gear oil

or brake oil.

(c) Install the injector to the delivery pipe and cylinder head as

shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:

Before installing the injector, apply spindle oil or gasoline to

(1) for Fuel Hose Connector Cover Type:

Detach the lock claws by lifting up the cover as shown in

the illustration.

(2) for Fuel Pipe Clamp Type:

Remove the fuel pipe clamp from the fuel tube connector.
