DISASSEMBLY

1. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY 

2. REMOVE SUB TANK

(a) Disconnect the fuel pump connector.

(c) Disconnect the fuel tube.

(d) Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws from the claw holes.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(e) Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws from the claw holes and

remove the sub tank.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

NOTICE:

Do not damage the fuel sub tank.

3. REMOVE FUEL PUMP

(a) Using a screwdriver, detach the 5 claws from the claw holes and

disconnect the fuel pump from the suction plate with filter.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

(b) Remove the fuel pump harness.

(c) Remove the O-ring and spacer from the fuel pump.

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump.

that the fuel pump operates.

NOTICE:

These tests must be performed within 10 seconds to prevent the
coil from burning out.

Keep the fuel pump as far away from the battery as possible.

Always turn the voltage on and off on the battery side, not the
fuel pump side.

If the result is not as specified, replace the fuel pump.
