ILLUMINATION CONTROL SIGNAL CHECK

1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
2. Check voltage between AV and NAVI control unit and ground.

switch.

1. Disconnect the AV and NAVI control unit connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch ON.
3. Check voltage between AV and NAVI control unit and ground.

REVERSE LAMP CHECK

1. Turn the ignition switch ON.
2. A/T shift selector lever or gear position into R-position. Does “R” in the back-up lamp illuminate?

Yes or No

Yes

GO TO 2.

No

Check back-up lamp circuit. Refer to EL-57, “Wiring Diagram — BACK/L —”.

REVERSE SIGNAL CHECK

1. With the selector lever in R-position.
2. Check voltage between AV and NAVI control unit and ground.

Replace AV and NAVI control unit.

Check the following.

I

Harness for open or short between AV and NAVI control unit and park/neutral position
switch (A/T models and YD22DDTi engine models)

I

Harness for open or short between AV and NAVI control unit and back-up lamp switch
(QG engine and YD22DDT engine models)

HARNESS CHECK

1. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect AV and NAVI control unit connector and Display connector.
3. Check continuity between AV and NAVI control unit and Display.
