REAR FOG LAMP CHASSIS ELECTRICAL 54A-171 STEP 11. Retest the system Q: Is the check result normal? YES : The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to GROUP 00 − How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service − How to Cope with Intermittent Malfunction ). NO : Replace the ETACS-ECU and register the STEP 12. Connector check: F-24 <LHD> or F-20 Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 13. NO : Repair the defective connector. STEP 13. Check the bulbs of the rear fog lamps Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 14. NO : Replace the bulb(s) of the defective lamp. STEP 14. Resistance measurement at the F-24 (1) Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side. (2) Check the resistance between the lamp connector and body earth. • Resistance between F-24 <LHD> or F-20 <RHD> rear fog lamp connector terminal No.2 and OK: Continuity exists (2 Ω or less) Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 16. NO : Go to Step 15. STEP 15. Check the wiring harness from F-24 NOTE: Prior to the wiring harness inspection, check • Check the earth wires for open circuit. Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 18. NO : Repair the wiring harness.
