Code No.2008: P/W (AS) Parameter read fail

 

Code No.2009: P/W (AS) Position read fail

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

• If the power window sub switch (front: RH) infor-

mation cannot be read, power window sub switch 
(front: RH) sets the diagnosis code No. 2008.

• If the front passenger's door window glass posi-

tion cannot be read, power window sub switch 
(front: RH) sets the diagnosis code No. 2009.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window sub switch

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Check that the diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the front power window sub switch.

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

Code No.3001: P/W (RL) SW pulse1 disconnection <Double cab>

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.

Power Window (Rear: LH) Circuit

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the pulse 1 signal from the power window motor 
(rear: LH) cannot be received, power window sub 
switch (rear: LH) sets the diagnosis code No. 3001.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the rear power window motor (LH)

• Malfunction of the rear power window sub switch 

(LH)

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: E-13 rear power 
window sub switch (LH) connector and E-14 rear 
power window motor (LH) connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 2.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-13 
rear power window sub switch (LH) connector 
terminal Nos.8, 3 and E-14 rear power window 
motor (LH) connector terminal Nos.2, 5.

• Check the input and output lines for open or short 

circuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 3.

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is 
reset.
(1) Replace the rear power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the rear power window sub switch 

(LH).

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 2.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-13 
rear power window sub switch (LH) connector 
terminal Nos.2, 3 and E-14 rear power window 
motor (LH) connector terminal Nos.4, 5.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 3.

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is 
reset.
(1) Replace the rear power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the rear power window sub switch 

(LH).

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

Code No.3003: P/W (RL) Above window position <Double cab>

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the rear-left door window glass exceeds the fully 
closed position, power window sub switch (rear: LH) 
sets the diagnosis code No. 3003. And, if the rear 
door window glass (LH) is removed or installed with 
the power is supplied to the power window sub 
switch (rear: LH) sets this diagnosis code.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the rear power window motor (LH)

• Malfunction of the rear power window sub switch 

(LH)

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Confirm the rear power window <left 
side> learning function.
(1) Check that the rear power window sub switch 

(LH) has learned the fully closed position of the 
window (Refer to 

P.42-172

).

(2) On completion, check that diagnosis code 

No.3003 is not reset.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

The procedure is complete.

NO : 

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is 
reset.
(1) Replace the rear power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the rear power window sub switch 

(LH).

NO :
