Power Window (Rear: LH) Circuit

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the earth fault of the power window motor (rear: 
LH) sensor power supply is detected, power window 
sub switch (rear: LH) sets the diagnosis code No. 
3004.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the rear power window motor (LH)

• Malfunction of the rear power window sub switch 

(LH)

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: E-13 rear power 
window sub switch (LH) connector and E-14 rear 
power window motor (LH) connector

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 2.

NO : 

Repair the connector.

STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-13 
rear power window sub switch (LH) connector 
terminal No. 3 and E-14 rear power window motor 
(LH) connector terminal No. 5.

• Check the power supply line for open or short cir-

cuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

Go to Step 3.

NO : 

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is 
reset.
(1) Replace the rear power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the rear power window sub switch 

(LH).

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

Code No.3005: P/W (RL) 3 Times jam-protection <Double cab>

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the anti-trap function is activated consecutively 
three times or more, power window sub switch (rear: 
LH) sets the diagnosis code No. 3005.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the rear power window motor (LH)

• Malfunction of the rear power window sub switch 

(LH)

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Confirm the rear power window <left 
side> learning function.
(1) Check that the rear power window sub switch 

(LH) has learned the fully closed position of the 
window (Refer to 

P.42-172

).

(2) On completion, check that diagnosis code 

No.3005 is not reset.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES : 

The procedure is complete.

NO : 

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is 
reset.
(1) Replace the rear power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the rear power window sub switch 

(LH).

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

Code No.3008: P/W (RL) Parameter read fail

 

Code No.3009: P/W (RL) Position read fail

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

• If the power window sub switch (rear: LH) infor-

mation cannot be read, power window sub switch 

(rear: LH) sets the diagnosis code No. 3008.

• If the rear-left door window glass position cannot 

be read, power window sub switch (rear: LH) sets 
the diagnosis code No. 3009.

• Malfunction of the rear power window sub switch 

(rear: LH)

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Check that the diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES : 

Replace the rear power window sub switch 

(LH).

NO : 

The procedure is complete.

Code No.4001: P/W (RR) SW pulse1 disconnection <Double cab>

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the 
input and output signal circuits are normal.

If the pulse 1 signal from the power window motor 
(rear: RH) cannot be received, power window sub 
switch (rear: RH) sets the diagnosis code No. 4001.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the rear power window motor 

(rear: RH)

• Malfunction of the rear power window sub switch 

(rear: RH)

• Damaged harness wires and connectors
