Heating and Ventilation - Blower Motor

Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Remove the blower motor lower cover.

2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

3. Remove the blower motor.

Remove the blower motor retaining screws.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Heating and Ventilation - Evaporator Core Housing

Removal and Installation

Removal

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

2. Recover the refrigerant. For additional information, refer to Section

412-00 Climate Control System - General Information

.

3. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to Section

303-03A Engine Cooling

4. Disconnect the drain tube from the heater core.

5. Disconnect the heater hose from the heater core.

6. Disconnect the heater hose from the heater core.

7. Lower the vehicle.

8. Remove the refrigerant line retaining clip.

9. Using a suitable tool disconnect the refrigerant line.

10. Remove the refrigerant line retaining clip.

11. Using a suitable tool disconnect the refrigerant line.

12. Remove the evaporator core housing lower securing nut.

13. Remove the instrument panel. For additional information, refer to

14. Remove the center register air duct.

15. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

1. On manual A/C only.

2. All vehicles.

16. Disconnect the electrical connector.

17. Remove the glove box mounting frame.

Remove the retaining bolts.

18. Disconnect the electrical connector.
