RIDING HEIGHT 

CHECKING PROCEDURES 

Front (Blackwood) 

Information for front ride height specification is not available from manufacturer. For side to side front vehicle 
lean specification, see WHEEL ALIGNMENT SPECIFICATIONS . 

Rear (Blackwood) 

Measure vehicle rear height (driver side) from the bottom of the jounce bumper metal housing to the jounce pad 
on the rear axle. See Fig. 8 . Measurement should be 3.6" (92 mm). If adjustment is necessary, see 
ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES . 

NOTE:

On vehicles with electronic chassis controls, all systems should be functional 
before attempting ride height or wheel alignment adjustment. See appropriate 
ELECTRONIC article in SUSPENSION.

Front (F150 Pickup) 

To measure front ride height, subtract measurement "B" from measurement "A". See Fig. 9 . For ride height 
specifications, see Fig. 10 .
