5. Remove the exterior rear door handle. 

1. Drill out the rivets.  

2. Position the exterior rear door handle for access.  

3. Remove the exterior rear door handle.

Installation 

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure. 

z

Using Heavy Duty Riveter, install the new rivets. 

NOTE:

Make sure the rear door handle rods are not Preloading the rear door latch 
remote control. They should be clipped in a relaxed state with no slack.

EXTERIOR REAR DOOR HANDLE - SUPERCREW 

Removal and Installation 

1. Raise the rear door window to the closed position.  

2. Disconnect the battery ground cable.  

3. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL -- REAR DOOR .  

4. Remove the bolts and the rear door brace.

5. Position the watershield aside.  

6. Remove the exterior rear door handle. 

1. Remove the nuts.  

2. Release the clip and disconnect the exterior rear door handle actuating rod.  

3. Remove the exterior rear door handle by pushing outward from the bottom.
