3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

BELT TENSIONER - 4.6L & 5.4L 

Removal & Installation 

1. Remove the drive belt. For additional information, refer to BELT - 4.6L & 5.4L WITH A/C or BELT - 

4.6L & 5.4L WITHOUT A/C . 

NOTE:

The belt tensioner for a vehicle with A/C is shown, the belt tensioner for a 
vehicle without A/C is similar, except for the ribbed pulley.

2. Remove the bolts and the belt tensioner.  

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

ACCESSORY DRIVE BELT TENSIONER - SUPERCHARGED ENGINE 

Removal & Installation 

1. Remove the bolt and position the charge air cooler reservoir aside.

2. Remove the drive belt. For additional information, refer to BELT - SUPERCHARGED ENGINE .  

3. Remove the three bolts and the drive belt tensioner.

4. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

BELT IDLER PULLEY - 4.2L 

Removal & Installation 

1. Remove the drive belt off of the belt idler pulley. For additional information, refer to BELT - 4.2L . 

NOTE:

The belt idler pulley for a vehicle with A/C is shown, the belt idler pulley for 
a vehicle without A/C is similar, except for the ribbed pulley.
