2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

BELT - 4.6L & 5.4L WITHOUT A/C 

Removal & Installation 

1. Rotate the tensioner counterclockwise and remove the drive belt. 

NOTE:

Refer to COMPONENT LOCATIONS - 4.6L & 5.4L WITH A/C for correct 
drive belt routing.

2. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

BELT - SUPERCHARGED ENGINE 

Removal & Installation 

1. Rotate the tensioner clockwise and remove the supercharger drive belt. 

NOTE:

Refer to COMPONENT LOCATIONS - 4.6L & 5.4L WITHOUT A/C for correct 
drive belt routing.

2. Remove the fan blade and the fan shroud. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .  

3. Remove the auxiliary supercharger crankshaft pulley. For additional information, refer to ENGINE - 

4.6L AND 5.4L article .  

4. Rotate the tensioner clockwise and remove the accessory drive belt.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

BELT TENSIONER - 4.2L 

Removal & Installation 

1. Remove the drive belt. For additional information, refer to BELT - 4.2L .  

2. Remove the belt tensioner. 

NOTE:

Refer to ACCESSORY DRIVE - SUPERCHARGED ENGINEACCESSORY 
DRIVE for correct drive belt routing.
