BODY CONTROL MODULE INTERNAL FAILURE (CONTINUED) When Monitored and Set Condition • When Monitored: Continuous. • Set Condition: If the Body Control Module (BCM) detects an internal malfunction, the DTC is set. POSSIBLE CAUSES OPEN FUSED B(+) CIRCUIT BODY CONTROL MODULE For a complete Body Control Module (BCM) Circuit Diagram, (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/POWER LOCKS - SCHE- Diagnostic Test 1. MEASURE THE VOLTAGE OF THE BCM POWER CIRCUIT Turn the ignition off. Disconnect the BCM harness connector. Note: Check connectors - Clean/repair as necessary. Is the voltage above 10 volts? Yes >> Go to 2 No >> Repair the Fused B(+) circuit for an open. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. 2. MEASURE THE VOLTAGE OF THE BCM POWER CIRCUIT Measure the voltage of the Fused B(+) circuit (cavity 44) at the BCM Is the voltage above 10 volts? Yes >> Go to 3 No >> Repair the Fused B(+) circuit for an open. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST. ZH POWER LOCKS - ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTICS 8N - 9 |
