The hinge bolts must always be renewed after they have been loosened.

3 - Door hinge

❑ Hinge is split.
❑ Upper part is secured to

hinge lower part with

bolt -4-.

4 - Bolt

❑ Connects upper part of

hinge -3- to bottom part

of hinge -7-

❑ Specified torque: 23 Nm

5 - Cover

❑ Fit onto bolt -4-.

6 - Bolt

❑ Always renew; it is per‐

missible to loosen them

once in order to align

door.

❑ Specified torque: 40 Nm
❑ Installed from inside ve‐

hicle.

❑ For removal and instal‐

lation, B-pillar lower trim

must be removed ⇒ 

General body repairs, interior; Rep. gr.  70 ; Pillar and side panel trims .

❑ If the B-pillar has been replaced, other specified torques must be observed

7 - Door hinge

❑ Hinge is split.
❑ Lower part is secured to hinge upper part with bolt -4-.

8 - Bolt

❑ Always renew; it is permissible to loosen them once in order to align door.
❑ Specified torque: 40 Nm
❑ If the B-pillar has been replaced, other specified torques must be observed

Removing and installing door

Note

The removal and installation sequence is only for the right door.

The removal and installation of the left door is similar.

1.3.1

Removing

Carry out following work:
– Release bellows -2- by pressing catch -arrow a- and pull off B-

pillar.

– Remove caps -8- from bolts -7-.
– Loosen bolts -7- at hinges -arrow d-.
– Unscrew bolt -5- for door retaining strap -6-.
– Push door retaining strap -6- inwards -arrow c-.
– Lift door -1- upwards -arrow e- out of hinges -9-.

1.3.2

Installing

Carry out following work:
Install in reverse order of removal.
Specified torque for bolt -5-: 30 Nm.
Specified torque for bolts -7-: 23 Nm.
