Assembly overview - battery for folding key with remote control

3.4.1

Removing

Carry out following work:
– Insert screwdriver in slot between transmitter unit -1- and key

-2-.

– Turn screwdriver in direction of -arrow- to separate transmitter

unit from key.

– Press transmitter unit -1- apart using profile section of key

-2-.

– Unclip battery -1- from the retainers -2- with a screwdriver in

direction of -arrow-.

Installing

Note

Before installing battery, always press one of the buttons once.

Thus transmitter unit is reset and can recognize a new battery

only now.

-2- (positive terminal is marked on housing).

– Press battery into -arrow- radio container until it latches into

place, applying only slight pressure while doing so.

– Attach lid and sender unit to each other (do not damage seal).
– Then clip transmitter unit to the key.

3.6.1

Removing

Carry out following work:
– Fold out profile section of key.
– Using a screwdriver, unclip cover cap -1- on back of key -2- in

-direction of arrow-.

– Using a suitable screwdriver, unclip battery -1- from battery

compartment of key -2- in -direction of arrow-.

3.6.2

Installing

Note

Before installing battery, always press one of the buttons once.

Thus transmitter unit is reset and can recognize a new battery

only now.

Carry out following work:
Ensure correct polarity and mounting position when installing bat‐

tery.
– Insert battery -1- -arrow- into battery compartment of key -2-

with positive terminal pointing upwards.

– Press battery into battery compartment until it latches into

place, applying only slight pressure while doing so.

– Clip cover cap onto back of key.
