(c) Attach a new clamp to the tailpipe assembly and center

exhaust pipe assembly. Then install the bolt to the clamp.

Torque:

32 N·m {326 kgf·cm, 24ft·lbf}

HINT:

Install the clamp within the angle range shown in the

illustration.

If an exhaust gas leak has been repaired, perform an inspection following the repair

REMOVAL

1. PRECAUTION

NOTICE:

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from

the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery

terminal notice before proceeding with work

2. DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE

CAUTION:

(b) Disconnect the fuel pump ECU connector 

 

.

(c) Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

(d) Start the engine. After the engine has stopped on its own, turn the ignition switch off.

HINT:

DTC P0171/0174 (system too lean) may be set.

(e) Crank the engine again, and then check that the engine does not start.

(f) Loosen the fuel tank cap, and then discharge the pressure in the fuel tank completely.

(g) Connect the fuel pump ECU connector

3. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

4. REMOVE V-BANK COVER 

5. REMOVE AIR CLEANER HOSE ASSEMBLY 

6. DISCONNECT NO. 2 FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the No. 2 fuel tube from the fuel pressure

regulator (for quick type A)

7. DISCONNECT FUEL TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the fuel tube from the fuel delivery pipe RH (for

quick type A)

(b) Disconnect the fuel tube from the fuel delivery pipe LH (for

quick type A)

8. DISCONNECT NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Detach the clamp.

(b) Disconnect the No. 1 fuel pipe from the fuel delivery pipe LH (for quick type B)

9. REMOVE FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Disconnect the ventilation hose and No. 6 wire harness

connector.

(b) Remove the No. 3 engine cover.
