DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the parts may injure your hands.

HINT:

Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH (for Driver Side) 

2. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH (for Front Passenger Side) 

3. REMOVE SEAT POSITION AIRBAG SENSOR 

4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Disconnect the 2 rubber bands.

(b) Remove the 2 screws.

(c) Detach the guide, clip and 2 claws as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

(d) w/o Leg Support Adjustment Switch:

(1) Detach the clamp and disconnect the 2 connectors to remove

the front seat cushion shield LH.

(e) w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch:

(1) Detach the clamp and disconnect the 4 connectors to remove the front seat cushion shield LH.

5. REMOVE SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws to remove the

slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

6. REMOVE RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB

(a) Using moulding remover A, detach the 2 claws to remove the

reclining power seat switch knob.

7. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (w/o Seat Position Memory System) 

8. REMOVE POSITION CONTROL ECU AND SWITCH ASSEMBLY (w/ Seat Position Memory

System)

SEAT: FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Power Seat): DISASSEMBLY; 2...

(a) Remove the 3 screws and the position control ECU and switch

assembly.

9. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT LUMBAR SWITCH LH 

10. REMOVE SEAT VARIABLE CUSHION SWITCH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch) 

11. REMOVE FRONT NO. 2 SEAT WIRE LH (w/ Leg Support Adjustment Switch)

(a) Detach the 2 clamps to remove the front No. 2 seat wire LH.

12. REMOVE FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

(a) Remove the 2 screws.

(b) Detach the guide in the direction indicated by the arrow shown in the illustration to remove the front inner

No. 1 seat cushion shield LH.

13. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

(a) w/ Seat Heater System:

(1) Disconnect the connector.

(2) Detach the wire harness clamp to disconnect the wire harness

(b) Disconnect the connector.

(e) Remove the 4 bolts and separate type front seatback assembly.
