HINT:

Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

CAUTION:

Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the

SRS system.

NOTICE:

When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH

(a) for Double Cab:

Remove the rear door inside handle bezel plug LH

(b) for CrewMax:

Remove the rear door inside handle bezel plug LH 

 

.

3. REMOVE REAR UPPER DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL LH

(a) for Double Cab:

Remove the rear upper door armrest base panel LH 

 

.

(b) for CrewMax:

Remove the rear upper door armrest base panel LH 

 

.

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH

(a) for Double Cab:

Remove the rear door frame garnish LH

(b) for CrewMax:

Remove the rear door frame garnish LH 

 

.

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

(a) for Double Cab:

Remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH

(b) for CrewMax:

Remove the rear door trim board sub-assembly LH

6. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 DOOR TRIM BRACKET

(a) for Double Cab:

Remove the rear No. 2 door trim bracket
