Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1.

Remove rear combination lamp. Refer to 

EXL-113, "Removal and Installation"

.

2.

Fully open slide door.

3.

Remove slide door rail cover mounting bolt (A).

4.

Fully close slide door.

5.

Pull lower portion of slide door rail cover toward vehicle outer,
disengage mounting clips of slide door cover, and then remove
slide door rail cover.

CAUTION:

Apply protective tape (A) on the part to protect it from dam-
age.

INSTALLATION

1.

Clip

2.

Watertight clip
(With sponge washer)

3.

Bolt

4.

Slide door rail cover

: Always replace after every disassembly.

Note the following item, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

Never reuse clip and bolt once they are removed

Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1.

Remove back door upper finisher. Refer to 

INT-49, "BACK DOOR UPPER FINISHER : Removal and

Installation"

.

2.

Remove rear spoiler assembly mounting nuts.

3.

Insert a remover tool (A) between rear spoiler and back door
panel, and then cut double-sided tape using a cutter (B) while
lifting up rear spoiler.

CAUTION:

Apply protective tape (C) on the part to protect it from dam-
age.

4.

Disengage mounting clips of rear spoiler using a remover tool.

: Always replace after every disassembly.

REAR SPOILER

5.

Disconnect harness connector of high-mounted stop lamp and rear washer tube.

6.

Remove rear spoiler assembly.

INSTALLATION

Note the following items, and then install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

• Be careful not to wind up the lips of back door upper molding.
• Degrease mounting surface of rear spoiler.
• Never wash the vehicle with in 24 hours so as to keep adhesive.
