Removal and Installation

FUNCTION

Air inside passenger compartment is kept clean at either recircula-
tion or fresh mode by installing ventilation air filter into blower unit.

REPLACEMENT TIMING

Refer to MA-5 (Except for Europe), MA-8 or MA-11 (For Europe), “CHASSIS AND BODY MAINTENANCE”.
Caution label is fixed inside the glove box.

REPLACEMENT AND PROCEDURES

1.

Remove the glove box.

2.

Remove the ventilation air filter cover.

3.

Take out the ventilation air filter from blower unit.

4.

Replace with new one and reinstall on blower unit.

5.

Reinstall the glove box.

Remove the heater & cooling unit. Refer to

ATC-118, "Removal and Installation"

2.

Separate the heater & cooling unit, then remove the heater core. Refer to

ATC-120, "Disassembly and

Assembly"

NOTE:
This illustration is for RHD models. The layout for LHD models is symmetrically opposite.

CENTER VENTILATOR GRILLE

1.

Remove the cluster lid C. Refer to BT-22, "INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY".

2.

Remove the center ventilator grille assembly.

SIDE VENTILATOR GRILLE

1.

Remove instrument finisher B.

2.

Remove the side ventilator grille (right).

3.

Remove instrument finisher A.

4.

Remove side ventilator grille (left).

FOOT DUCT

1.

Remove the heater & cooling unit. Refer to

ATC-118, "Removal

and Installation"

.

2.

Remove the foot duct.

FLOOR DUCT

1.

Remove instrument lower center panel. Refer to BT-22, “INSTRUMENT PANEL ASSEMBLY”.

2.

Remove center floor duct.

3.

Remove the front seats.

4.

Peel back the floor trim to a point where the floor duct is visible.

5.

Remove floor ducts.
