Warms the front seatback.

FRONT SEAT : Component Function Check

1.

CHECK FUNCTION

When turning the front heated seat switch to the LO and HI mode position, check that the front seatback
heater is operated in each specific mode.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Front seatback heater function is OK.

NO

>> Refer to 

SE-33, "FRONT SEAT : Diagnosis Procedure"

.

FRONT SEAT : Diagnosis Procedure

1.

CHECK FRONT SEATBACK HEATER SIGNAL 1

1.

Turn ignition switch ON.

2.

Check voltage between front seatback heater harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> GO TO 2.

2.

CHECK FRONT SEATBACK HEATER CIRCUIT 1

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect front ventilation seat control unit connector and front seatback heater connector.

3.

Check continuity between front ventilation seat control unit harness connector and front seatback heater
harness connector. 

4.

Check continuity between font ventilation seat control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace front ventilation seat control unit. Refer to 

SE-93, "Disassembly and Assembly"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

SEATBACK HEATER

3.

CHECK FRONT SEATBACK HEATER SIGNAL 2

Check voltage between front seatback heater harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 4.

NO

>> Replace front seatback heater. Refer to 

SE-89, "Exploded View"

.

4.

CHECK FRONT SEATBACK HEATER CIRCUIT 2

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect front seat cushion heater connector and front seatback heater connector.

3.

Check continuity between front seat cushion heater harness connector and front seatback heater harness
connector. 

4.

Check continuity between front seat cushion heater harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace front seat cushion heater. Refer to 

SE-89, "Exploded View"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

REAR SEAT

Warms the rear seatback.

CHECK FUNCTION

When turning the rear heated seat switch to the LO and HI mode position, check that the rear seatback heater
is operated in each specific mode.
Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Rear seatback heater function is OK.

NO

>> Refer to 

SE-35, "REAR SEAT : Diagnosis Procedure"

REAR SEAT : Diagnosis Procedure

1.

CHECK REAR SEATBACK HEATER SIGNAL 1

1.

Turn ignition switch ON.

2.

Check voltage between rear seatback heater harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> GO TO 3.

NO

>> GO TO 2.

2.

CHECK REAR SEATBACK HEATER CIRCUIT 1

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect rear ventilation seat control unit connector and rear seatback heater connector.

3.

Check continuity between rear ventilation seat control unit harness connector and rear seatback heater
harness connector. 

4.

Check continuity between rear ventilation seat control unit harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace rear ventilation seat control unit. Refer to 

SE-100, "Disassembly and Assembly"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.

3.

CHECK REAR SEATBACK HEATER SIGNAL 2

1.

Check voltage between rear seatback heater harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

CHECK REAR SEATBACK HEATER CIRCUIT 2

1.

Turn ignition switch OFF.

2.

Disconnect rear seat cushion heater connector and rear seatback heater connector.

3.

Check continuity between rear seat cushion heater harness connector and rear seatback heater harness
connector. 

4.

Check continuity between rear seat cushion heater harness connector and ground.

Is the inspection result normal?

YES

>> Replace rear seat cushion heater. Refer to

SE-98, "Exploded View"

.

NO

>> Repair or replace harness.
