FRONT SEAT

Disengage seatback trim fixing retainer 

, heater seat harness

connector 

 and seat heater harness clip.

8.

Remove headrest holder by raising it while pinching the pawls
from the bottom of the headrest holder.

CAUTION:

Before installing headrest holder, check its orientation
(front/rear and right/left).

9.

Remove seatback trim and seatback pad as a set.

10. Remove seatback silencer.

11. Remove lumber support harness connector 

.

12. Remove seatback suspension 

.

13. Remove hog rings, and then separate seatback pad and seatback trim.

CAUTION:

• Never disassembly / separate front seat with heated seat.
• Before performing separating operation, check the installation position of hog rings.

14. Remove seatback frame.

a.

Disconnect harness connector 

 and disengage harness clip

(power seat).

b.

Remove seat cushion outside finisher. Refer to 

SE-48, "SEAT CUSHION FINISHER : Disassembly and

Assembly"

.

c.

Disengage harness clip 

, remove seatback frame fixing bolts

, and then remove seatback frame.

ASSEMBLY

Note the following items, and then assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

CAUTION:

• For hog ring that is removed or crimped unsuccessfully, fix it by using a new hog ring. (Never reuse

hog ring.)

• Always install the hog rings in position.
• When installing the side air bag, check that the inner cloth (reinforcement cloth) is not caught in bolt

hole.

• Note the following for side air bag module fixing nuts.
- Always use new fixing nuts (prevents the nut from loosening).
- Never tighten nuts twice (prevents improper torque).
• Note the following for seatback frame fixing bolts.

- Starting from vehicle rear, outside, temporarily tighten bolts in

order (1

→

4 as shown in the figure) and then perform final

tightening in the same order.

- After tightening, never use bolts that are loosened or removed. (This is because bolts applied with a

lock coating agent are used.)

SEAT CUSHION

SEAT CUSHION : Disassembly and Assembly

DISASSEMBLY

CAUTION:

• Never separate the passenger seat cushion trim and passenger seat cushion pad for with occupant

sensor.

• When removing, always use a remover tool that is made of plastic to prevent damage to the parts.

Remove seat cushion outside finisher outer side. Refer to 

SE-48, "SEAT CUSHION FINISHER : Disas-

sembly and Assembly"

.

2.

Disengage harness fixing magic fasteners 

.

3.

Disengage seatback trim fixing retainers 

.

Disengage seat cushion trim fixing retainers 

, and disconnect seat heater harness connector 

.

Disconnect occupant sensor harness connector 

 and disan-

gage harness clip (if equipped).

6.

Remove seat cushion trim and seat cushion pad as a set.

7.

Remove seat cushion silencer.

8.

Disengage harness connector, harness clips, and then remove
seat cushion suspension 

.

9.

Remove hog rings, and then separate the seat cushion trim and seat cushion pad.

CAUTION:

• Never separate the passenger seat with occupant sensor.
• Never separate the front seat with heater seat.
• Before performing separating operation, check the installation position of hog rings.

ASSEMBLY

Note the following items, and then assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

CAUTION:

• For hog ring that is removed or crimped unsuccessfully, fix it by using a new hog ring. (Never reuse

hog ring.)

• Always install the hog rings in position.
