Refer to EM-197, "FRONT OIL SEAL : Removal and Installation" 7. Install front cover with the following procedure: CAUTION: Do not reuse O-rings. a. Install O-rings to cylinder head and cylinder block. b. Apply a continuous bead of liquid gasket with the tube presser Use Genuine Liquid Gasket or equivalent. c. Check that mating marks of timing chain and each sprocket are still aligned. Then install front cover. CAUTION: Be careful not to damage front oil seal by interference with front end of crankshaft. d. Tighten mounting bolts in numerical order as shown in the fig- e. After all bolts are tightened, retighten them to specified torque in CAUTION: Be sure to wipe off any excessive liquid gasket leaking to 8. Install chain guide between camshaft sprockets. 9. Install valve timing control cover with the following procedure: : Front cover : Apply liquid gasket outside the bolt holes : Liquid gasket : Dowel pin hole : Engine outside : 4.0 - 5.6 mm (0.157 - 0.220 in) : φ 3.4 - 4.4 mm (0.134 - 0.173 in) : 35.7 mm (1.406 in) Apply liquid gasket φ 6.0 - 7.0 mm (0.236 - 0.275 in) between this area. : 179.6 mm (7.07 in) : 35.5 mm (1.398 in) : 31.3 mm (1.232 in) Apply liquid gasket φ 6.0 - 7.0 mm (0.236 - 0.275 in) between this area.
