Separate the heater & cooling unit, then remove the heater core. Refer to

NOTE:
This illustration is for RHD models. The layout for LHD models is symmetrically opposite.

CENTER VENTILATOR GRILLE

1.

Remove the cluster lid C. Refer to IP section in P12 ESM
(SM2E00-1P12E0E).

2.

Remove the center ventilator grille.

SIDE VENTILATOR GRILLE

1.

Remove the instrument panel.

2.

Remove the side ventilator grille.

FOOT DUCT

1.

Remove the heater & cooling unit. Refer to

ATC-122, "Removal

and Installation"

.

2.

Remove the foot duct.

FLOOR DUCT

1.

Remove the front seats.

2.

Remove the instrument panel.

3.

Remove the front floor duct.

4.

Peel back the floor trim to a point where the floor duct is visible.

5.

Remove the rear floor duct 2.

6.

Remove the clip, then rear floor duct 1.

SETTING OF SERVICE TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
Discharging Refrigerant

WARNING:

Avoid breathing A/C refrigerant and lubricant vapor or mist. Exposure may irritate eyes, nose and
throat. Use only approved recovery/recycling equipment to discharge HFC-134a (R-134a) refrigerant. If
accidental system discharge occurs, ventilate work area before resuming service. Additional health
and safety information may be obtained from refrigerant and lubricant manufacturers.
