REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Bumper fascia is made of resin. Do not apply strong force to it, and be careful to prevent contact with
oil.

CAUTION:

If bumper stays are removed or replaced, body panel must be painted to ensure corrosion protection.

1.

Fully open hood assembly.

2.

Remove front grille. Refer to 

EXT-25, "Removal and Installation"

.

3.

Remove front fillet mouldings. Refer to 

EXT-37, "Removal and Installation"

.

4.

Remove front fender protector. Refer to 

EXT-32, "Removal and Installation"

.

5.

Remove clips from:
• Front crossmember;
• Headlamp.

Remove fixing screws (A), bolts (B) and clips (C) of radiator
undercover (1) and front fender protector (2).

7.

Disconnect  harness connectors (if equipped):
• Front sonar harness;
• Front camera harness.

8.

Remove fixing screw (A) of bumper fascia (LH/RH).

9.

Remove washer tank tube.

10. Remove front bumper fascia from bumper side brackets LH/RH.

CAUTION:

Be careful when removing bumper fascia from bumper side brackets as the assembly can be eas-
ily damaged.

11. Remove front bumper fascia.

CAUTION:

When removing bumper fascia, 2 workers are required so as to prevent it from dropping.

12. Remove the following parts after removing bumper fascia:

• Fixing screws from bumper side bracket (LH/RH);
• Front bumper side bracket (LH/RH)
• Front bumper finishers
• Energy absorber upper and lower
• Front fog lamp assembly. Refer to 

EXL-164, "Removal and Installation"

 (xenon type) or 

EXL-321,

"Removal and Installation"

 (halogen type).

13. Remove front bumper upper energy absorber.
14. Remove front bumper lower energy absorber.

15. Remove front bumper upper reinforcement mounting nuts, and then remove front bumper upper reinforce-

ment.

16. Remove front bumper lower reinforcement.

• Remove front bumper lower reinforcement assembly.
• Remove front air guide fixing clips, then remove front air guide.

INSTALLATION

Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION:

After installation, add water up to the upper level of the washer tank inlet and check for water leakage.
NOTE:
After installing, perform fitting adjustment.
