DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
STEP 1. Check power window main switch connector E-19,
front power window motor (LH) connector E-16 for loose,
corroded or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back
in the connector.
Q: Are power window main switch connector E-19, front
power window motor (LH) connector E-16 in good
condition?
YES : Go to Step 2.
NO : Repair or replace the damaged component(s). Refer
to GROUP 00E, Harness Connector Inspection
P.00E-2
. Verify that the power window works
normally.
STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between power window
main switch connector E-19 (terminals 8, 9, 12) and front
power window motor (LH) connector E-16 (terminals 3, 5,
6).
• Check the power supply lines for open circuit and short cir-
cuit.
Q: Is the wiring harness between power window main
switch connector E-19 (terminals 8, 9, 12) and front
power window motor (LH) connector E-16 (terminals 3,
5, 6) in good condition?
YES : Go to Step 3.
NO : The wiring harness may be damaged or the
connector(s) may have loose, corroded or damaged
terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector.
Repair the wiring harness as necessary. Verify that
the power window works normally.
STEP 3. Diagnostic trouble code recheck
Replace the front power window motor (LH). Recheck if the
diagnostic trouble code is set.
(1) Erase the diagnostic trouble code.
(2) Operate the driver’s door window switch on the power
window main switch.
(3) Check if the diagnostic trouble code is set.
Q: Is the diagnostic trouble code set?
YES : Replace the power window main switch.
NO : The procedure is complete. Verify that the power
window works normally.
