STEP 9. Check A/T-ECU connector B-22 and output shaft 
speed sensor connector B-107 for loose, corroded or 
damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the 
connector.
Q: Are the connectors and terminals in good condition?

YES : Go to Step 10.
NO :  Repair or replace the damages components. Refer to 

GROUP 00E, Harness Connector Inspection

STEP 10. Check the harness for short circuit to ground 
between A/T-ECU connector B-22 terminal 11 and output 
shaft speed sensor connector B-107 terminal 2.
Q: Is the harness wire in good condition?

YES : Go to Step 11.
NO :  Repair or replace the harness wire.

STEP 11. Measure the ground circuit for resistance at the 
output shaft speed sensor connector B-107.
(1) Disconnect connector B-107 from the speed sensor and 

measure at the harness side.

(2) Measure the resistance between terminal 1 and ground.

• The resistance should measure less than 2 ohms.

Q: Is the measured resistance less than 2 ohms?

YES : Go to Step 16.
NO :  Go to Step 12.

STEP 12. Measure the resistance at the A/T-ECU connector 
B-22 by using check harness special tool MB992045.
(1) Disconnect all the connectors from the A/T-ECU.

(2) Connect special tool MB992045 (check harness) between 

the A/T-ECU and the body-side harness connector.

(3) Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

(4) Measure the resistance between terminal 12 and ground.

• The resistance should measure less than 2 ohms.

(5) Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.

Q: Is the measured resistance less than 2 ohms?

YES : Go to Step 13.
NO :  Go to Step 15.
