STEP 2. Check the wiring harness between E-03
power window main switch connector terminal
No. 12 and E-18 front power window motor (LH)
connector terminal No. 5.

• Check the power supply line for open or short cir-

cuit.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

Go to Step 3.

NO :

Repair the wiring harness.

STEP 3. Check whether the diagnosis code is
reset.
(1) Replace the front power window motor (LH).
(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES :

Replace the power window main switch.

NO :

The procedure is complete.

Code No.1004: P/W (DR) Sensor fail (earth) <RH drive vehicles>

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the earth fault of the power window motor (front:
RH) sensor power supply is detected, power window
main switch sets the diagnosis trouble code No.
1004.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor

(RH)

• Malfunction of the power window main switch

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Connector check: E-03 power window
main switch connector and E-01 front power
window motor (RH) connector

YES :

Go to Step 2.

NO :

Repair the connector.

Code No.1005: P/W (DR) 3 Times jam-protection

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the anti-trap function is activated consecutively
three times or more, power window main switch sets
the diagnosis code No. 1005.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor

<driver’s side>

• Malfunction of the power window main switch

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

STEP 1. Confirm the front power window
<driver’s side> learning function.
(1) Check that the power window main switch has

learned the fully closed position of the window
(Refer to

P.42-172

(2) On completion, check that diagnosis code

No.1005 is not reset.

Q: Is the check result normal?

YES :

The procedure is complete.

NO :

Go to Step 2.

STEP 2. Check whether the diagnosis code is
reset.
(1) Replace the front power window motor <driver’s

side>.

(2) Check that diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES :

Replace the power window main switch.

NO :

The procedure is complete.

Code No.1008: P/W (DR) Parameter read fail

Code No.1009: P/W (DR) Position read fail

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.
COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM

• If the power window main switch information sig-

nals cannot be read, power window main switch
sets the diagnosis code No. 1008.

• If the driver's door window glass position cannot

be read, power window main switch sets the
diagnosis code No. 1009.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the power window main switch

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE

Check whether the diagnosis code is reset.
Check that the diagnosis code is not reset.

Q: Is diagnosis code set?

YES :

Replace the power window main switch.

NO :

The procedure is complete.

Code No.2001: P/W (AS) SW pulse1 disconnection <LH drive vehicles>

CAUTION

Whenever the ECU is replaced, ensure that the
input and output signal circuits are normal.

COMMENTS ON TROUBLE SYMPTOM
If the pulse 1 signal from the power window motor
(front: RH) cannot be received, power window sub
switch (front: RH) sets the diagnosis code No. 2001.

PROBABLE CAUSES

• Malfunction of the front power window motor

(RH)

• Malfunction of the front power window sub switch

• Damaged harness wires and connectors

STEP 1. Connector check: E-26 front power
window sub switch connector and E-01 front
power window motor (RH) connector
