REMOVAL SERVICE POINT

<<A>> REAR WINDOW GLASS REMOVAL
Remove the rear window glass in the same proce-
dure as for the windshield glass removal (Refer to 

P.42-17

).

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINTS

DAM INSTALLATION

CAUTION

Leave the degreased parts for 3 or more minutes 
to dry well, before starting on the next step. Do 
not touch the degreased parts.
1. Use the parts cleaner (MZ100387 or equivalent) 

to degrease the inside and outside edges of the 
rear window glass and the surface of the body 
flange.

2. Install the fasteners and glass stoppers to the 

specified positions of the rear window glass.

3. Install the fasteners to the left and right lower 

corner of the body flange.

4. Install the window dam.

Rear panel power window switch

A rear panel power window has been installed in the 
double cab to improve open airy feeling and ventila-
tion performance <Vehicles with rear panel power 
window>. The rear panel power window has the fol-
lowing features.

• The anti-trapping function is adopted.

• The power window timer function is adopted.

As for the rear panel power window, the rear slide 

window glass moves in 3 levels by operating the 
rear power window switch.

The rear panel power window switch employs the 

push operation method to improve safety. To 
open a rear slide window glass, press in the 
switch knob lower side, and to close, press in the 
upper side.

• The one-touch mechanism is adopted to the rear 

panel power window switch to fully open or close 
rear slide window glass in a single operation.

ANTI-TRAPPING FUNCTION 
The rear panel power window with the safety mecha-
nism is adopted. If any obstacle such as a hand or a 
head is detected to be trapped during a window 
glass closing operation, the window glass is opened 
by approximately 150 mm to improve safety.
NOTE: If anti-trapping function is activated consecu-
tively three times or more, the fully closed position 
that power window switch has learned will be erased. 
With this state, auto-up/down function becomes inef-
fective. To make the rear panel power window switch 
learn the fully closed position, the initialisation is 
required. Refer to 

P.42-55

The rear panel power window can be opened or 
closed by a timer function after the ignition switch is 
turned to the OFF position (The timer delay is 
extended for 30 seconds if the driver’s door is 
opened while the timer is on. The timer operation, 
however, is cancelled when the driver’s door is 
closed before the timer ends).
