TROUBLESHOOTING

ACTIVE STABILITY & TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (ASTC)

35C-84

CAUTION

If there is any problem in the CAN bus lines, an
incorrect diagnosis code may be set. Diagnose
the CAN bus lines before the diagnosis codes
(Refer to GROUP 54C

 CAN Bus Diagnostics

Table .).
OPERATION
ASTC-ECU monitors the fluid pressure in the
hydraulic unit using the incorporated pressure sen-
sor, and adjusts the fluid pressure for the ASC or
ATC drive based on this data.

TROUBLESHOOTING

ACTIVE STABILITY & TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (ASTC)

35C-85

DIAGNOSIS CODE SET CONDITIONS
This diagnosis code is set in the following cases:

• The output value of the pressure sensor does not

change at the vehicle speed of 7 km/h or more
when the brake pedal is depressed.

• When the vehicle drives at the speed of 40 km/h

or more, the amount of the change of the pres-
sure sensor output values during the time from
the brake pedal depression to the vehicle stop is
less than the specified value.

• The output value of the pressure sensor is abnor-

mal.

PROBABLE CAUSES
The most likely causes for these diagnosis codes to
set are:

• Damaged wiring harness or connector

• Malfunction of the hydraulic unit assembly (inte-

grated with ASTC-ECU)

• Incorrect stop lamp switch installation or malfunc-

tion

• Residual brake fluid pressure

DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE
