TROUBLESHOOTING ACTIVE STABILITY & TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM (ASTC) 35C-80 • When the vehicle has been driving at a vehicle speed of 15 km/h or more for 15 minutes or • With the stop lamp switch "OFF", the decelerated speed G is occurred at the specified value or PROBABLE CAUSES • Malfunction of the stop lamp switch • Damaged wiring harness or connector • Malfunction of the hydraulic unit assembly (inte- grated with ASTC-ECU) DIAGNOSIS PROCEDURE STEP 1. M.U.T.-III CAN bus diagnostics Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 3. NO : Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to GROUP − CAN Bus Diagnostics Table .). On completion, go to Step 2. STEP 2. Diagnosis code recheck after resetting Q: Is the diagnosis code No.C1340 set? YES : Go to Step 3. NO : This diagnosis is complete. STEP 3. Stop lamp and high-mount stop lamp OK: When the brake pedal is released: OFF Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 11. NO : Go to Step 4. STEP 4. Connector check: C-114 stop lamp Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 5. NO : Repair or replace it, and go to Step 13. STEP 5. Check for stop lamp switch installation − On-vehicle Service/Brake Pedal Check and Adjustment . Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 6. NO : Install the stop lamp switch correctly (Refer − On-vehicle Service/Brake Pedal Check and Adjustment .). Then go to STEP 6. Stop lamp switch continuity check 35A − Brake Pedal .). ACX00671AE No continuity Continuity 4 mm (2) Connect the circuit tester ( Ω range) to the stop lamp switch connector terminals No.1 and No.2. (3) When no continuity is detected with the plunger pressed from the edge of the outer case by the Q: Is the check result normal? YES : Go to Step 7.
