• When Monitored: • Set Condition: Possible Causes WIRING HARNESS, TERMINAL, CONNECTOR DAMAGE (B4) LEFT REAR WSS 12 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE, SHORTED TO GROUND, OR (B3) LEFT REAR WSS SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO VOLTAGE, SHORTED TO GROUND, OR OPEN (B3) LEFT REAR WSS SIGNAL CIRCUIT SHORTED TO (B4) LEFT REAR WSS 12 VOLT SUPPLY CIRCUIT LEFT REAR TONE WHEEL LEFT REAR WSS ANTI-LOCK BRAKES MODULE Diagnostic Test 1. COMPARE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR SIGNALS WARNING: Ensure brake capability is available before road testing. Slowly accelerate as straight as possible from a stop to 40 km/h (25 m.p.h.). Does the LR WSS speed differ from the other WSS speeds by 8 Km/h (5 m.p.h.) or show NO speed? Yes >> Go To 2 No >> Perform the ABS Intermittent Condition diagnostic procedure in this Section. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES - STANDARD PROCEDURE). 2. INSPECT TERMINALS, CONNECTORS, WIRING HARNESS, & TONE WHEEL Turn the ignition off. Visually inspect the Anti-Lock Brake Module harness connector, Left Rear WSS connector, Left Rear WSS harness • Check all related wiring for pinched, chafed, pierced, and partially broken wires. • Check all related connectors for broken, bent, pushed out, and corroded terminals. • Check the tone wheel teeth for missing teeth, cracks, and looseness. The teeth must be perfectly square, not Were any problems found? Yes >> Repair as necessary. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST - VER 1. (Refer to 5 - BRAKES - STANDARD PROCEDURE). No >> Go To 3 5 - 116 BRAKES - ABS ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTICS KJ |
