12. Slide the stoplight switch, booster push rod and the bushing on the brake pedal pin.

13. Install the stoplight switch hairpin clip.

14. Install the steering column support bracket.

15. Install the instrument panel opening cover (04459). For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT 

PANEL AND CONSOLE .  

BRAKE PEDAL - ADJUSTABLE 

Removal 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable (14301). For additional information, refer to BATTERY, 

CAUTION: The brake pedal (2453) and the accelerator pedal (9725) must be in 

the same position when installing a new cable or a new pedal. The 
pedals must be in the all the way forward or all the way rearward 
position.
