8. Remove the brake pedal bracket nuts.

Installation 

CAUTION: Make sure the bulkhead sound insulator is not between the brake 

pedal and bracket and the bulkhead.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.  

PEDAL AND BRACKET - ADJUSTABLE 

Removal 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to BATTERY, MOUNTING 

AND CABLES .  

2. Remove the instrument panel opening cover. For additional information, refer to INSTRUMENT 

PANEL AND CONSOLE .  

3. Remove the nuts and the steering column support bracket. 

CAUTION: The brake pedal and the accelerator pedal must be in the same 

position when installing a new cable or a new pedal. The pedals must 
be in the all the way forward or all the way rearward position.
