14. Install the head restraint rod guides.  

15. Install the head restraint. 

1. Insert the head restraint rods into the rod guides.  

2. Press release button and push the head restraint rod past its stop position.  

3. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, press the release tab on the second head restraint rod guide and push 

head restraint rod into the rod guide.

16. Install the front seat backrest. Refer to FRONT SEAT BACKREST-SEAT INTEGRATED 

RESTRAINTS (SIR) . 

17. Install the front seat. Refer to FRONT SEAT-WITH SEAT INTEGRATED RESTRAINTS (SIR) . 

18. Reactivate the supplemental restraint system (SRS) deactivation/reactivation procedure. Refer to 

SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM (SRS) DEACTIVATION AND REACTIVATION .

The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service 
only. Remove from the vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove 
could result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety

19. With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). 

Refer to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .  

REAR SEAT BACKREST - SUPERCAB 

Disassembly and Assembly 

1. Remove the seat backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT-SUPERCAB .  

2. Unclip the J-clips.

3. Remove the foam pad and upholstery from the seat backrest frame.  

4. Remove the upholstery from the foam pad.  

5. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.  

REAR SEAT BACKREST - SUPERCREW 60 PERCENT 

Disassembly and Assembly 

1. Remove the seat. Refer to REAR SEAT-60 PERCENT, SUPERCREW .  

2. Remove the seat backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT BACKREST-SUPERCREW 60 PERCENT .  

3. Remove the screws.

4. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure.  

REAR SEAT BACKREST - 40 PERCENT AND QUAD BUCKET, SUPERCREW 

Disassembly and Assembly 

1. Remove the seat backrest. Refer to REAR SEAT Backrest-40 PERCENT AND QUAD BUCKET, 

SUPERCREW .  

2. While pressing the release button, pull the headrest from the seat backrest.
