52. Install the central junction box panel cover.

53. Install the upper instrument panel steering column cover.

54. Connect the battery ground cable. 

55. With all the restraint system diagnostic tools removed, prove out the supplemental restraint system (SRS). 

Refer to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .  

56. Check the active restraints system for correct operation. Refer to SAFETY BELT SYSTEM .  

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 

FRONT SEAT - FULL BENCH 

Removal 

WARNING:

The restraint system diagnostic tool is for restraint system service 
only. Remove from vehicle prior to road use. Failure to remove could 
result in injury and possible violation of vehicle safety standards.

NOTE:

Removing the full bench front seat requires more than one technician.

1. Remove the front seat (60012). 

1. Remove the bolts.  

2. Remove the nuts.  

3. Disconnect the electrical connectors (if equipped) and remove the front seat.
