52. Push in to release the tab and disconnect the driver side safety belt retractor pretensioner electrical 

connector.  

53. Attach the restraint system diagnostic tool to the driver side safety belt retractor pretensioner electrical 

connector.

All vehicles 

54. Connect the battery ground cable.  

55. With the restraint system diagnostic tools installed at all deployable devices, prove out the supplemental 

restraint system (SRS). Refer to SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK .  

56. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait at least one minute.  

Reactivation 

All vehicles 

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable and wait at least one minute. 

WARNING:

To reduce the risk of serious personal injury, read and follow all 
warnings, cautions, and notes at the beginning of the deactivation 
procedure.

2. Remove the restraint system diagnostic tool from the driver side safety belt retractor pretensioner 

electrical connector.

3. Connect the driver side safety belt retractor pretensioner electrical connector.
