Removal and Installation 

1. Remove the plenum assembly. Refer to PLENUM CHAMBER .  

2. Remove the heater core outlet bracket. 

1. Remove the screws.  

2. Remove the bracket. 

NOTE:

Replacement of the suction accumulator/drier is not required when repairing 
the air conditioning system except when there is physical evidence of system 
contamination from a failed A/C compressor or damage to the suction 
accumulator/drier.

NOTE:

If an A/C evaporator core leak is suspected, the A/C evaporator core must be 
leak tested before it is removed from the vehicle. Refer to CLIMATE CONTROL 
SYSTEM .

3. Remove the plenum assembly top. 

1. Remove the 14 screws.  

2. Remove the plenum assembly top.

4. Remove the A/C evaporator core from the plenum assembly.

5. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Lubricate the refrigerant system with the correct amount of clean PAG oil. Refer to CLIMATE 
CONTROL SYSTEM .
