CYLINDER HEAD TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

Removal & Installation (4.2L) 

Remove cylinder head temperature sensor, located on rear of left cylinder head. See Fig. 66 . To install, reverse 
removal procedure.

Removal & Installation (4.6L & 5.4L 2V) 

Remove intake manifold. See INTAKE MANIFOLD under AIR INDUCTION SYSTEMS. Remove cylinder 
head temperature sensor from engine block valley. See Fig. 67 . To install, reverse removal procedure.

Removal & Installation (5.4L 4V) 

Raise and support vehicle. Remove the right front fender splash shield. Remove the dual converter Y-pipe. 
Disconnect Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) sensor harness connector, located on right rear cylinder head. 
See Fig. 68 . Remove CHT sensor. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE FEEDBACK EGR SENSOR 

Removal & Installation 

Disconnect negative battery cable. Disconnect Differential Pressure Feedback EGR (DPFE) sensor electrical 
connector. See Fig. 69 , Fig. 70 or Fig. 71 . Disconnect vacuum hoses. Remove DPFE sensor. To install, 
reverse removal procedure.
