11. Disconnect the door ajar switch electrical connector.

12. Remove the front door latch.

Disconnect the cable from the latch.  

z

Transfer all necessary components.

13. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If necessary, use Multi-Purpose Grease Spray F5AZ-19G209-AA or equivalent meeting Ford 
specification ESR-M1C159-A to lubricate the latches.  

REAR DOOR LATCH - LOWER

1. Remove the rear door trim panel. Refer to TRIM PANEL -- REAR DOOR .  

2. Remove the rear door radio speaker (18808). 

1. Remove the screws.  

2. Disconnect the electrical connector.  

3. Remove the rear door radio speaker.

3. Remove the watershield.
