FUEL RAIL PRESSURE SENSOR 

Removal & Installation 

The fuel rail pressure sensor is mounted in fuel rail. The manufacturer does not provide a procedure to replace 
the sensor. See Fig. 6 .

FUEL RAIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

Removal & Installation 

The fuel rail temperature sensor is mounted in fuel rail. The manufacturer does not provide a procedure to 
replace the sensor. See Fig. 7 .

FUEL TANK PRESSURE SENSOR 

Removal & Installation 

Release system and tank pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE . Remove fuel pressure 
regulator. See FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR under FUEL SYSTEMS. Disconnect FTP sensor electrical 
connector. Remove FTP sensor using Fuel Pressure Sensor Socket (164-R0907). See Fig. 8 . To install, reverse 
removal procedure. 

NOTE:

Always replace Fuel Tank Pressure (FTP) sensor and spacer "O" rings. 
Lubricate FTP sensor and spacer "O" rings with 5W-30 engine oil.

FUEL TANK TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

Removal & Installation 

Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the epoxy coating (1). See Fig. 9 . Make sure not to increase the 
exposed metal surface area when removing the epoxy coating. Remove the fuel tank temperature sensor (2). 
Clean surface area where the sensor is to be mounted. Epoxy fuel tank temperature sensor in place on fuel tank.
