Removal & Installation - F150 Pickup - Bi-Fuel - Gasoline/CNG

INTRODUCTION

The 5.4L engine is available with two bi-fuel options, Liquid Propane Gas (LPG) or Compressed Natural Gas
(CNG). The fuel control system on these engines is separate from the gasoline fuel system and has unique parts.
This article only covers removal and installation procedures for alternate fuel components on CNG bi-fuel
vehicles. For alternate fuel components on LPG bi-fuel vehicles, see REMOVAL & INSTALLATION - F150
PICKUP - BI-FUEL - GASOLINE/LPG
article. Procedures for systems and components that are the same as
gasoline powered models are not included in either article. See REMOVAL & INSTALLATION -
BLACKWOOD, EXPEDITION, F150 PICKUP & NAVIGATOR
 article. Alternate fuel powered vehicles
utilize special fuel filler valve, fuel tanks, fuel pressure regulator, coalescent filter assembly, fuel lines, fuel rails
and fuel injectors.
