13. Remove the front fuel tank support strap retaining bolts.

14. Remove the midship fuel tank.

Carefully move the fuel tank rearward while lowering so that the upper fuel tank stone shield will 
clear the No. 3 crossmember.

Installation 

NOTE:

Replace the fuel line O-ring seal.

NOTE:

Lubricate the fuel line O-ring seal with 5W3O engine oil meeting Ford 
specification WSS-M2C153-G or equivalent prior to installation, to help 
seal and ease the installation.

NOTE:

When tightening the fuel line, a torque wrench adapter must be used with 
the torque wrench. The use of a torque wrench adapter will alter the 
effective torque of the torque wrench being used. To correct the effective 
torque, a torque multiplication conversion must be used. Refer to TORQUE

1. Follow the removal procedure in reverse order.

Align the identification marks on the fuel tank support straps and tank.

MULTIPLICATION CONVERSION .
