REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION 

INSTRUMENT CLUSTER 

Removal 

1. Disconnect the battery. 

2. Remove the headlamp switch. Refer to LAMP SWITCH -- HEADLAMP .  

3. Carefully release the four clips and remove the steering column opening cover. 

CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to electrical charges. If exposed to 

these charges, damage may result.

4. Remove the instrument panel finish panel (044D70). 

1. Remove the bolts.  

2. Remove the instrument panel finish panel.

5. Remove the instrument cluster (10849). 

1. Remove the bolts.  

2. Disconnect the electrical connectors.  

3. Remove the instrument cluster.

If equipped, remove the transmission range indicator.  

z

If equipped, disconnect the boost gauge vacuum line.

Installation 

NOTE:

Following installation of a new instrument cluster, carry out the Parameter 
Reset and Key Programming .
