STANDARD PROCEDURE - OPEN-CIRCUIT VOLTAGE TEST A battery open-circuit voltage (no load) test will show the approximate state-of-charge of a battery. Before proceeding with this test, completely charge the battery, refer to the appropriate battery charging procedure. 1.
