18 INTERIOR LIGHTING SH CAB DRIVER ’S S IDE S TEPWELL L IGHTING, INTERIOR LIGHTING AND DOOR SWITCH When the door on the d river ’s s ide is opened, door switch (E514) is activated (connection b e tw e e n1-2 ). Aar e s u lt ,t h e rei sav o lt a g e on C062, C063 and on D91 1 (alarm system) through fuse E045 (interior lighting fuse), w ire 1 107, contacts 1-2o f door switch E514, wire 2647, diode D783 (driver ’s s ide interior lighting d iode) and wire 2600. This activates the s tepwell lighting o n both the driver ’ss id e (C062) and the c o-driver ’s s ide (C063). T he VIC (D900) also receives a v oltage on connection point 1 and connector 595. The VIC then turns o n the cab lighting (C1 19/C192), p rovided the s witches (C1 19, C192, C859 and C837) are in the correct position, activating it through wire 2610 (connection point 4, connector 592 of the V IC unit). When the door on the d river ’ss id ei sc lo s e d (c o n ta c ts 1-2o f door switch E514 interrupted), the voltage to connection point 1 and connector 595 of the V IC is lost. Connection point 4 and connector 592 will then continue to be supplied w ith power for another 9 s econds approximately . After approximately 9 seconds, the power supply is switched of f and the lights g o out. If the v ehicle ignition is switched on (contact made) within 9 s econds, the power supply to connection point 4, connector 592 of the V IC will be switched of f immediately . The interior lighting w ill be switched of f immediately . If the alarm system (D91 1, connection point 16 of connector 604, wire 3647) sends a v oltage to connection point 13, connector 594 of the V IC to indicate that the doors have locked correctly , the lighting w ill also go of f immediately . CO -DRIVER ’S S IDE S TEPWELL L IGHTING, INTERIOR LIGHTING AND DOOR SWITCH When the door on the c o-driver ’ss id ei s opened, door switch (E515) is activated (connection betwee n1-2 ). As a result, there is a lso a v oltage on both C062 and C063 through fuse E045 (interior lighting fuse), w ire 1 107, contacts 1-2o f door switch E515 and wire 2600. This activates the stepwell lighting o n both the driver ’ss id e (C062) and the c o-driver ’s s ide (C063). Interior lighting w ith map -r eading light (driver ’s a nd co -d river ’ss id e ) There is an interior light with map-reading light on both s ides of the c ab in the o verhead console. The lamps operate in the same way on the d river ’s s ide and co-driver ’s s ide. A v oltage is applied to c onnection point 2 o f C1 19 and C192 respectively through fuse E045 and wire 1 107. Depending on the s witch position, the interior light or the m ap-reading light can b e s witched on individually or together . INTERIOR LIGHTS TWO -W A Y S WITCHING The c ondition to turn on both interior lights is that C1 19 (interior light with switch, d river ’s side) and C192 (interior light with switch, co-driver ’s s ide) must be switched together . Therefore, the s witch is c onnected to c ontact 1. Situation 1 : S witch C 837 in ’0 ’ position. Switch C837 in middle position (contacts 5 - 3 a n d6-4c onnected). The s upply v oltage and the earth are now interrupted and the light does not work. 0202 ᓻ 2-88 5 ELECTRICAL SYSTEM Electrical system series 65/75/85 CF |
