19 MIRROR H EA TING/MIRROR ADJUSTMENT MIRROR H EA TING When the m irror heating s witch (C746) is operated, a v oltage is applied to heating element B017 (driver ’s s ide) and B018 (co-driver ’s s ide) through fuse E044, wire 1208 and switch C746 (contacts 1 - 2 ) and wire 4532. The m irror heating c an only b e s witched on when the c ontact relay has been energised (contact ’on ’). MIRROR ADJUSTMENT The outside mirrors are adjusted u sing the “joystick ” switches C695 (driver ’s s ide) and C696 (co-driver ’s s ide). W hen the handle o f the s witch is m oved from the rest position (centre) in a particular d irection, power is supplied to the mirror adjustment motor B 005 (driver ’s s ide) or B006 (co-driver ’s s ide) and the c orresponding mirror responds following the m ovement of the handle. Wires 4770 and 4774 (driver ’s s ide) or 4771 and 4775 (co-driver ’s s ide) supply power to the m otor for left-right movement. W ires 4772 and 4774 (driver ’s s ide) or 4773 and 4775 (co-driver ’s s ide) supply power to the m otor for the up-down m ovement. The m irror adjustment system can only b e used if the c ontact relay is energised.
