Preliminary Procedure:  
Remove either the LR or RR tail lamp assembly. Refer to Tail Lamp Replacement 
(GMC) or Tail Lamp Replacement (Chevrolet).

License Plate Lamp Electrical Connector 
Tip: Disconnect the electrical connector from the rear junction block.

1. Ensure the headlamp switch is in the OFF position.  

2. Reach under the rear bumper and press on the lens end of the cover in order to release the 

locking tab.  

3. Remove the lens housing from the bumper assembly.  

4. Remove the bulb.
