Endgate Latch Bolt (Qty: 2)
Tip: Use a grease pencil to mark the position of the endgate latch before
removing the bolts.
NOTE:
Refer to Fastener Notice .

ENDGATE LINKAGE REPLACEMENT (PICKUP BOX)

Tighten: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)

Endgate Latch
Tip:
1. Support the pickup box endgate.
2. Release the endgate cable from the endgate cable bolt.
3. Pull gently outwards on the endgate latch and release the pickup box
endgate latch rod.
4. Remove the endgate latch and transfer the endgate cable.

2. Remove the endgate latch. Refer to Endgate Latch Replacement.

Pickup Box Endgate Linkage
Tip: Release the rod from the pickup box endgate handle and pull the rod
through the endgate latch opening.

Preliminary Procedures
1. Position the door window as needed for service.
2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement
(YE9) or Front Side Door Trim Panel Replacement (SLT) .
3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Front Side Door Water Deflector

REAR DOOR LOCK REPLACEMENT (EXTENDED CAB UPPER)
Removal Procedure
1. Open the rear side door.
2. Remove the rear side door trim panel. Refer to Rear Side Access Door Trim Panel

Inside Door Handle Cable Retainer Clip

Front Side Door Lock Screw (Qty: 3)
Tip:
1. Release the door lock cylinder rod.
2. Release the outside door handle rod from the door lock clip.
3. The mandatory sequence is 3, 1, 2.
Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
NOTE:
Refer to Fastener Notice .

Front Side Door Lock
Tip:
1. Disconnect the electrical plug.
2. Transfer all parts to the new lock.
