the negative (-) cable.



After   the   battery   is  subject  to
disassembly   and   reconnection,
the vehicle may be indicative  of
some  abnormal  performances
during the initial stage of driving.
This   is   that   the   engine   control
system   is   being   adapted   to   the
engine, and you can go unheard.

The   used   battery   contains
sulfuric   acid   and   lead.   DO

NOT discard the battery according the
requirement   of   general   domestic
waste.   Please   send   it   to   the   local
waste disposal station qualified.

Engine start-up procedure
with replaced battery

The engine is connected to the battery
with the same nominal voltage (12 V)
only. Please use the jumper wire (with
the insulating clip) and the cable with
appropriate   size.   Please   do   not
remove   the   battery   from   the   vehicle
electrical system.

Connecting leads

1.

Park the vehicles appropriately to
make   them   not   contact   each
other.

2.

Make the engine stop operating.
And   switch   off   all  unnecessary
electrical equipment.

3.

Use   the   lead   A   to   connect   the
positive (+) terminal of the power-
shortage   battery   to   the   positive
(+)   terminal   of   the   support
battery.

4.

Connect one end of the lead B to
the  negative   (-)   terminal   of   the
support   battery.   And   then
connect the other end of the lead
B to the metal part of the engine
to be started.

DO   NOT   connect   the
lead B to the negative (-)

terminal   of   the   power-shortage
battery.

5.

Make sure that the jumper cable
can’t interfere with the operating
parts of the engine.

Start the engine

In   order   to   reduce   the
voltage   surge   when

disassembling, please switch on
the fan and the electrical heating
type   rear   windscreen   of   the
vehicle with the power-shortage
battery.

Please DO NOT light the
headlamp   to   substitute

the   electrical   heating   type
windscreen. Or the surge voltage
may damage the bulb.

1.

Start   up   the  automotive  engine
carrying with the support battery
to   make   it   operate   at   an
appropriate high speed. 

2.

Start   up   the   automotive   engine
with the power-shortage battery.

3.

The two automotive engines shall
operate for 3 minutes before the
leads are removed.

Remove the lead wires



Remove the lead wire B(-) firstly,

and then remove the lead wire A(+).

Breakdown trailer

Both the rear and front of the vehicle
are equipped with the trailing ring to fix
the towing rope. 

You shall drive your vehicle slowly and
smoothly   to   avoid   the   jump   of   the
vehicle trailed when trailing. The over-
great pulling force of the towing rope
may damage the vehicle.

The   ignition   switch   of
the  vehicle  trailed  shall

be in the “ON” position to make
all the steering wheel, directional
signal lamp and brake light work
while  trailing.   There   are   no   the

braking-assisted   force   and   the
steering-assisted   force   because
the   engine   is   switched   off.   So,
the   required   operating   physical
force shall be strengthened, and,
as   a   result,   the   corresponding
force   of   braking  and  steering
shall   be   added.   If   it   is   a   four-
drive   trailer,   its   wheels   can’t
leave the ground and must touch
the   ground,   or   else   it   will
damage the ITMI.

Maintenance   and
Service

Maintenance and service falls into two

categories. One is regular and can be

done by the owner, and the other is

regular  inspection  and  shall  be done

by Chery Authorized Service Station.

Service Offered by Chery

To   maintain   the   reliability   and

drivability   of   the   vehicle,   please

comply   with   regular   maintenance

schedule  specified   in   “Maintenance

Manual”.   Service  always  provided  by

Chery   Authorized   Service   Station   is

preferred.

Items you must follow

Regularly check fluid level and refill oil.
Check   the   tire   pressure,   lamps   and
braking  system.  Then   check   warning
lamps.  And   a  regular   maintenance

schedule   is   also  provided   for   your
reference.

The container of braking fluid, coolant
and   power   steering   fluid   is   semi-
transparent  for a  straight  and instant
check.

The   electronic   ignition
system   has   high   voltage.

Please   do   not   touch   these   parts
when   the   engine   is   running   or
ignition switch is on. 

Cut off the ignition switch
before   working   in   the

engine   compartment.   Even   if   the
ignition switch is off, the cooling fan
may   be   running   automatically.
Please watch your clothes (tie) to
prevent  from  being   caught  by  the
fan or driving belt.

General Maintenance for a
Vehicle

When   you   clean   the   engine,  the

residue  of  fuel, grease and engine oil

will be cleaned as well.

Only   clean   your   car   at   the

washing   area   that   does   not

damage   the   ecological

drainage system.

Always ask for qualified waste

treatment agencies or consult

your   dealer  to  replace  and

dispose   used   engine   oil,   brake   fluid,

anti-freeze fluid, battery and tire. And it

is prohibited to dump into daily rubbish

or drain it into public drainage system.

Everyone   shall   concern   about

environment.   Please   offer   your

contribution   and   shoulder   your

responsibility   to   environmental

protection.
